Re: Mk 6a FCD 284X
Progress so far:
The car is now back from the chap who helped us with the wiring, he has done a brilliant job (much tidier than we had done!!). We are now focusing on all of the smaller fiddley jobs, remoulding door panels, fitting electric windows and trying to set up the pop up headlight mechanism.
We had a complete test of the electrics and everything works! We could have put some fuel in it and started the engine, but with only a large bore Janspeed and no silencer it would have been a bit loud!!!
As soon as i can i will put some more pictures onto the site.

Hi,
Your Mk 6a looks superb. I think I have spoken to your dad about this car over the years. It's great to see it up and running. Love the grille treatment.
I'll post some pics of my Davrian soon, although it's not quite up to the standared of yours!!
Best wishes,
Martyn

Re: Mk 6a FCD 284X
Thats my trimmer geoff , he's done a great job on the car. he now works for rolls royce at goodwood
I have just set up the pop up head lights, they pop up when you switch the head lights on .Motors
out of a mx5, the nice thing is if the motor fails you can manualy raise them. The next job for the weekend
is the seat belts. the only thing missing on the car is a fabric folding roof, still have not found one.
more pics to follow.

Fantastic work!
The interior reminds me of a Facel Vega H500.....and your trimmer is brilliant.
I have a friend here who is one of the best trimmers in France, he's just doing an Elise interior for me at the moment but I will get him to do the Davrian as my own trim work is at best amateur. As for the roof, don't Webasto exist anymore?
