Not sure club membership is needed! Frenchay just round the corner from work - Abbey Wood. Hopefully can sort something with Mark when he has it on the road and meet at mine in Bath.

Following some research it appears if you were to use a complete imp as a donar vehicle then it would be possible to retain the imps registration. Only issue might be that the shell/monocoque would have no supporting paperwork.

This was emailed to me today by the DVLA.Have I interpreted this correctly? The DVLA don't seem to make too much sense at the best of times.

Kit Conversions

This is where a kit of new parts is added to an existing vehicle or old parts are added to a kit comprising a manufactured body/chassis/monocoque bodyshell. The general appearance of the vehicle will change and result in a revised description on the registration document/Certificate.

A vehicle will retain its donor registration mark if either the original unmodified chassis or unaltered monocoque bodyshell and two other major components are used.

If a new monocoque bodyshell or chassis from a specialist kit manufacturer is used (or an altered chassis/bodyshell from an existing vehicle) together with two major components from a donor vehicle, an age related mark will be assigned. The mark will be based on the age of the donor vehicle. An IVA/SVA/MSVA test will be required to register the vehicle.

Where there are insufficient parts from a donor vehicle or in cases where the original registration mark is unknown, an IVA/SVA/MSVA certificate will be required to register the vehicle and a 'Q' prefix registration number will be allocated.

I guess that this is the way to get age related plate - seems to have suspension, steering, Eng and gearbox so should meet the points required.

I'm off to see it on Sat morning to take some pics to help on mine, but will not be buying. Seems like it was a good kit to start with, odd that it never got going as seemed so close.

When are you going? I'm up at 9.30 on Sat, then on to fix a shed for a friend. I'll be at home all day on Sun and probably also late Sat afternoon. Happy to meet up if those times are suitable.

I went this evening, Just need to decide how much I'm prepared to bid now. A lot of interest, so expecting it to go for more than I can afford.

Up at the Mini Action day at Castle Combe tomorrow, then off elsewhere unfortunately. I am hoping to get up to combe in October to see Mark with his Davrian if that is ready for then. Maybe that could form a mini meet.

Had a look today - someone is going to get a cracking little project. Expect it will be racing next season as it is stripped and would be an easier choice, particularly if not worried about the paintwork. Road going would take more work and a strip back of the paint but has Davrian suspension, brake discs conversion with balance bar. Hopefully the new owner will join the forum.

Now just over £2k with 11 hours to go, goes to show there is no hard and fast on Dav prices, pretty sure the matt black road going car (with Puma lights) sold for about 2 and a half a few months ago, looks like a bargain now.
