Post by fabcomi »

Hi to all
I have found this special car a few years ago and would like to know if any of you can give me some information about it. Thanks

Never heard of one, but anything's possible. Do you know what date it was built?

Could it be prior to the first Imp engined Davrians in the late '60?

This was on ebay a couple of years ago wasn't it?

From memory didn't it have imp semi trailing arms at the rear rather than the (widow-maker) swing axle arrangement.

There is a photo on the book by Martin Morgan Jones "Davrian to Darrian" on p. 16 where we see this prototype, it seems one of the earliest works of Evans, with the transaxle, then changed to a traditional Triumph diff.

That looks like a great and very interesting and unique project, good progress so far, what are your plans for the car, road or track use?

The GT6R looks rather nice too

Yes, the GT6R was sold some time ago to a friend in the UK. About the Davrian Spitfire think it will be a car for hillclimb or ginkana.
