Imp Camshafts

My mk4 is almost ready for the road, new brakes all round, electrics now working and gearbox back in this weekend!.
I've nearly finished assembling a 1040 with new bearings and rings etc and now have to decide which cam to fit. I have R20,21,23 and GE1, i've used the 21 in other Davs on the road and found it very torquey being more of a rally cam but know little of the GE1 and have no info on its timing or application. Any thoughts blokes?.
Engine spec: 10.5 cr, strengthening kit, big valve head, twin 40's, c/r box.
