I'm afraid I still have not renewed my licence or HSA membership yet.
Reason being, that I really must crack on with the Stiletto for the Imps 50th Anniversay year, so I'm not sure if I''ll be competing this year.

Good luck with your season, Ifan, keep us posted on here.

Hi Ifan
Good to hear you're still flying the flag for the Imp powered class (ref post in the "Meet" topic). Just thought I'd respond here so as not to hijack the thread.
Ref the CR gearbox, sorry not for sale. I know I'll regret it if I decide to do some serious sprinting again.
Sod's law, the last time I chose to only do very few events, there were not many entries and I could have won the class championship if I'd entered more. Admitedly this would be pretty much by way of default, so perhaps not a satisfactory way to win  It looks like the same can be said for this year too, or are you planning to compete in a full list of events?
So is a shiny class win trophy due to you at the end of the year? I'll better go and check the HSA website to get myself up to date.

Hi Graham, Didn't think you would sell that gearbox, but it was worth a try...
Have only raced at Epynt and Llandow this year. I broke the gearstick at Epynt and had to retire, but Llandow was a better event for us.. a bit off last year's pace, but it was fun and best of all, the sun was shining!
I am currently in joint 91st place with Graham Williamson's Imp. I'm not planning any more events, though. The engine isn't happy and I've got too much to do at home. Hopefully will be back out next year with a better engine and better gearing...

I'm sad to say that the HSA seem to have finally dropped this specialised class....inevitable after several years with very little support. ( despite the best efforts of Graham Cashmore!)

Davrian drivers will now have to race very uncompetitively in " specialist production cars up to 1700cc"

Despite spending more time fixing my car than racing, I did manage to set a couple of class records on my rare outings, one at Llandow and the other at my last HSA event at Shelsley Walsh ( very chuffed to do it in 39.12)

I would not have been supporting this class anyway this year. I sold my Davrian last summer after a disastrous event at Epynt where I managed to cook my expensive new engine. I just couldn't keep spending money I didn't have on Imp engines, so when someone asked if I would sell the car, it had to go, I'm afraid. Even so, it's a terrible shame that Class N is no more.

 Sorry to hear the class has been dropped, I guess no surprise really, but thanks for my mention :D
:o Sold your Davrian? How dare you ;)
Not covering many miles in mine at the moment, but now I've finally made and fitted the luxury of internal door cards and handles, I might even try and stretch to some proper seat padding this summer.

Our dual at Llandow was fun, so at least we still have the memories/photos and have been part of the HSA's history. (Along with many others...too many to try and mention here).

I do also remember at Wiscombe and Werriington hillclimbs, that the organising clubs ran a specialist/kit car/road going class up to 1400cc, which is obviously slightly fairer that 1700cc. Only ever seemed to be there though, which was Devon and Cornwall.
