Hi.
i'm at the point of getting my Mk 5 road legal and have been told that she doesn't need to have a MOT as she's had no 'substantial modifications' in the last 30 years or so.

Will the absence of an MOT affect the prices I can achieve for insurance?
I was quoted less than £100 for fully comp by Adrian Flux when they had a stand at the classic car show in Birmingham NEC last year
Also will I need to get confirmation from the DVLA that it is exempt

Cheers,

Adrain Flux didn't even ask if my 1950 Riley had an MOT
