hal the thread is 7/16th unf, turn the bolt under head 10thou bigger dia
and get it knurled and press it in the disc.(just like that). of course you
have to start of with a 1/2 inch bolt.

Hal, the front discs are ford xr2 vented and x drilled with wildwood calipers the brake pedal feel is very good not to much pressure to lock up front and back wheels. HI Hal, the caliper on my mk6 are from a ford sierra cable hand brake
and no problem with long pedal travel. I use a .700 master cylinder for the
rears and the .625 for the fronts . the fronts are 4 pot calipers.

Hi Martyn, Sounds rather nice, there is nothing better than to sit
in front of that sound, take that from me we have just covered 700 miles
a couple of weeks ago in Wales in the mk6. Next step on the road.

Thanks Nugget, we did 700 miles over the weekend car only had one
hicup and that was a fuel leak on one of the su pumps. It was great fun
in the mountains the roads were so good no potholes and you could
open her up and check her handling on the hairpins.
