Re: Steering column?
quite an old thread now but I have an update, I'm now waiting for delivery of a pair of UJs and I plan to fit the wheel so it comes from the centre of the dash rather than the bottom. Two bearings will be inside the dash and the first UJ will turn slightly upwards so the column disappears into the d...

Re: fuel injection
Do you return from the fuel rail into it also then? How do you avoid it going too high pressure in the swirl pot if so.

Re: Heaters
I'd guess about 1 - 1.5 cubic metres? Bearing in mind the presence of each adult is going to use up 0.0664 cubic metres (http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=volume+human+body)
I've ordered one of the 3.5kw units from https://www.t7design.co.uk and will post results here.

Re: fuel injection
That's pretty cool Graham. Do you pump into it or does it gravity feed only? Davrian tanks are pretty low at the bottom and I'm not sure if we have anywhere low enough to fit this if it's gravity feed only.

Re: French track days 800kg limit
BTW I weighed by Davrian at the local rubbish tip and it's 661kg with all my turbo stuff on there so way short of the 800kg mark. I took my A4 fwd saloon car instead and had a cracking day out learning how to drive (with tuition) on a circuit. IT's given me food for thought on prepping my davrian fo...

Re: Mk6 in Jersey
weighbridge check today, my Davrian weighs 661kg with full tanks and without a driver. Not too bad considering the 40% extra power from the turbo (adds about 30kg at a guess). Mine is an early Dav with thick GRP in most places so in ordinary NA guise it would be in the 630kg range.

French track days 800kg limit
Thought you all might be interested to know that in France you can't attend a track day with a car less than 800kg if there are other cars on track the same day that are heavier. I'm booked to go to Le Mans next Friday and the circuit just got in touch to tell me I have to take another car or get a ...

Re: Deadly Davrian Drip
If you cut the fibreglass away on the top you can then scrap the foam out around the tank and eventually get it out. yup I can confirm it's pretty easy to cut the tanks out. Mine had actually filled the sills with petrol, yes I was literally sat surrounded by neat petrol sloshing all round me with ...

Maybe you've seen details over on the imp forum but in case not I'm cross posting here. The turbo going back on is the brief story. The detail is MUCH longer! 20150622_214850469_iOS.jpg 20150622_214839436_iOS.jpg 20150622_202247231_iOS.jpg 20150622_201808321_iOS.jpg 20150623_225414569_iOS.jpg
