Re: Long wheel studs
Ben supplied the studs and they are now fitted. Next is sort the failed MC seals and she will be back in running order....just as my French fleet insurers have decided to no longer insure the car, due to it still being on a UK plate. No problem getting a French plate as it's over 30 years old....mus...

Re: Double-bubble roofs.
Got sidetracked into restoring the nose of our Grinnall Scorpion 3, which got damaged way back in 2003 in a carpark in France, when the very low splitter touched a kerb, after surviving a 5000km round trip to the Sahara.....though this was without the splitter!! Unbelievable....the only damage in Af...

Re: Race Davrian
Looks as if it has had flared rear arches added but it doesn't look like a full-on modsports body. Was it ever road registered?

Re: Washer bag or bottle
My 1970 Mk 4 has a huge Saab sourced plastic tank that never needs filling.
This may be due to the car not turning a wheel in the last 7 years or so.....but soon it will be back in action!
Saab tanks are good, mine's from a 99. Holds a good 10 litres.

Re: Janspeed combined manifold
That's the one.....same as the Janspeed design. What's their quality like? Should be good at that price.....is that mild steel or stainless ? (I nearly said titanium!)
I'm going to check prices over here as someone has just started custom building bike and competition systems here.

Janspeed combined manifold
Is there anyone producing these at the moment (apart from the guy in S.Africa)?
If I got a run made, would anyone here be interested and if so, what sort of price would you expect to pay.....what would be a reasonable selling price?

Re: Davrian build plates for chassis
His number is in fact online, so I'll repeat it here, it's 01825 763638. He's got chassis plates, and he said he's in need of articles for the register magazine, which will probably be in pdf format if he can get enough material from owners! he also said a lot of people haven't bothered to register ...

Davrian build plates for chassis
I know John Rawlins had a batch made up, I ordered one for the Mk 4 years ago, but now I need one for the Mk 7, as I want to get it onto a French plate.
Anyone know if they are still available? I tried contacting John via his site but no response...maybe the email link is defunct?

Re: Davrian door handles
I used Lancia Beta ones on the Mk 4. Very similar to the Marina (I think) type, but more elegant somehow...and fully lockable.
Not many Betas about these days though.
