Only for road use!
Thanks,
Neil

any preference for schock absorbers
Hello, restoring my Mk5 Davrian. Had Spax on the rear (one now leaks), ? on front (both 12" top to bolt middle)
So long ago ... forgotten what they were!
Does anyone have any recommendations for good shock absorbers?
For road use.. not competition!
Thanks,
Neil

Re: Tank removal
Hmm. found there had been some leaking.. interesting reaction with the foam making it very hard to cut out!
Plus new tanks have threaded fittings for pick-ups, returns and breathers and are foam filled .. 4 gallons each.

Tank removal and refit!
Just removed my old tanks. No sign of leaks into foam but due an updated version from Tim Duffee. An emotional job.. but finally taken out. Tim's suggestion of steel pole into tank certainly helped to waggle and free up the tanks once most of the foam had been removed. A good vacuum needed to remove...

advice on brake set up?
Just wondered what folks views are on brakes for road use only Mk5 Davrian.
Currently vg 95 drum (no servo). Any great benefit in fitting imp club CVK13 front discs? Would a servo be necessary?
Thanks, Neil

At last a running 998 R17 for my Davrian!
Finally! From this: http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a505/limax666/foundstuff_zps5cf4522d.jpg to this: http://youtu.be/FT-9igdIzw8 Only taken me 23 years to get round to it. Andy Jones (Shrigley engineering saved the day. What a star! Now I just have the rest of the Davrian to sort out! Neil Jones

Re: davrian exhaust
Thanks for the info guys. Have had my existing manifold blasted and I think it will be repairable. In the meantime, I'll start saving up for a new one!
