Your car doesn't seem to have the rear buttresses that appeared on the Mk2-3, in fact it looks like you have a hard top actually bonded on, can you confirm this?. This would make it a very early car. Have you no more info on the car?. D.

Personally March would be good for me as it's our 30th wedding anniversary in april and will probably be away.
I doubt i'd make it 31 years if i tell Angela that the pearl anniversary bash is 'off' due to a Davrian meeting! !!.

I'd certainly be up for traveling to meet you all!. Perhaps a pub on a sunday or even at the Crystal palace motorsport meet at the end of May. I've noticed that most havn't put their town location under the avatar, i think that quite a few of us are close together in the south/ south east.

I have stainless lined many cylinders on classic cars with great success apart from one which leaked due to a porous casting. Are you sure it is a three speed?, i sort of remember that these motors had 5 wires, earth plus two speeds and two wires which parked thro a relay. I have a set of Autodata discs, if i get a chance i will see if i can copy a diagram for you.
