Re: Mk6 in Jersey
How do you run the tablet. Do you use tasker to open the apps up on power up and close it on power down.?
Do you have a constant power feed from the battery to keep it alive?
When I tried a similar thing it found the screen a little difficult to see so I reverted back to normal

Charlie,
Looks like a good method although I certainly would not advance the ignition at high speed until it detonates as this may cause damage. Depending on the engine you may go over the point of maximum torque anyway.

Re: Fuel Injection build.
Do you use a damper between the manifold and the pressure sensor? When I was naturally aspirated I did some data logging and found that without any form of plenum the pressure spikes were huge. Having too large a plenum then made the response laggy. I have always used one of those large plastic fuel...

I remember seeing your car in the 80s in the kitcar magazines
Do you have any more photos of the car? It would be very interesting to see them

Re: Mk8 A series
It has been a while since I have done any work on the car due to restoration of a Riley RM
Just had the seats re-upholstered as they were looking a bit tired.
Great service from the manufacturers:

Hi
Yes I use Wliwood calipers.
You need to make mounting brackets which is not too difficult
Also if you use it on the road fit Mintex M1144 or similar pads not Wilwood pads as they have little feel or bite
Regards
Stuart

Re: Fuel tank access / fitting fuel system for injection
Chris, I just glued a breather pipe in place as you can see with good quality engineering glue The wings are part of a whole front clam section which is removable so I assume it is the same on yours No I use the good old dipstick method for a gauge but if you bolt the lifter pumps to the rear of the...
