Hi,
I'd like to attend with my newly refurbed Mk 5 ...possibly on a trailer as its not been out for 16/17 years
What facilities are available for overnight parking , B&B etc .
I'm from the Midlands so any other info would be welcome
cheers,
Tony Redgwick

Re: Insurance
Hi. i'm at the point of getting my Mk 5 road legal and have been told that she doesn't need to have a MOT as she's had no 'substantial modifications' in the last 30 years or so. Will the absence of an MOT affect the prices I can achieve for insurance? I was quoted less than £100 for fully comp by Ad...

Re: petrol tanks
Nice videos, I could have done with seeing these before I had to change mine . I managed without removing the front panel but it was a struggle. Hope you took accurate dimensions of where the filler cap was ! The old ones might make a nice pair of book ends I often think....no good for anything else...

Re: petrol tanks
Hi, The same happened to my Mk 5 and also a friend of mine,Steve Mason's Mk 5. I was trying to make a little more clearance for the new tyres I had bought(215 50 13's on 7.5 inch rims). I only needed to make 6mm more room, and once I carefully cut the rear of the arch I got a fountain of stale petro...

Re: Stop tanks syphoning
Hi, If you are running a suction pump on the valve cover,as on a standard imp ,you could install a manual changover valve at the front and have the suction line from either tank connecting into the 3 way valve, once the motor starts to cough from lack of fuel ,you just turn the valve and carry on dr...

Re: electrics info please.
Hey, that sounds like a great idea.
We could post lists of bits we all needed and anyone with those or even other Davrian related bits
could bring them along and have a swap mart as well as a get together.
Cheers,
Tony R

Re: electrics info please.
Hi Dave, I'm only guessing about the number of speeds, but the wiring you describe sounds about right. There are orange, brown and white cables coming from the motor itself and green and lilac/black from the park switch area. In desperation ,I was considering a visit to the local library to see if the...
