Re: Davrian 55th Anniversary Celebration

As I've not posted on here for ages, just thought I drop a message that "Woodstock" has a fresh MOT and is ready to attend this one. Strange how I would not think twice about driving it over 100 miles to sprints and hillclimbs, thrash it on an event, and then drive home. However, as I have...

Re: Thruxton 2019

A tentative yes from me and dad, but it might depend on if I can bring a "support" car to share on the club stand. Dad's knee won't last the day so we'll need to bring his mobility chair (which obviously won't fit in the Davrian). He'd either bring the Husky (so there's an Imp connection) ...

Re: 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Davrian marque - Photos

As Photobucket has stopped 3rd party hosting, just thought I'd have a practice adding photos using the "attachments" option on the forum.

Please find a couple of pictures from the 50th Anniversary:

Re: 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Davrian marque - Photos

What a great day that was! Thank you to John and Tim for getting this underway. Fantastic to see so many Davrians and Darrians together in one place. An nice traffic free drive there and back, even had a 2 Davrian convoy for the last bit of the journey there. More by luck than judgement, but it was ...

Re: Grahams Mk 6

Door cards are both just about finished. Chrome strip across the top, is quite a nice little touch care of some plastic trim for tile edging from Homebase (other tile centres and shops are available ;) ) Decided a window winder would be too complicated, hence the hole in the middle. http://i480.phot...

Re: Hillclimb & Sprint - Special Class for Imp Based

I'm sad to say that the HSA seem to have finally dropped this specialised class....inevitable after several years with very little support. ( despite the best efforts of Graham Cashmore!) I sold my Davrian last summer after a disastrous event at Epynt where I managed to cook my expensive new engine...

Re: Grahams Mk 6

It's only taken me 17 years, but I've finally made a door card for the drivers side! Still a few finishing touches to do, and also need to paint or cover the inside of the door where the yellow hits out. At this rate, I might even get the passenger door done before I'm 60. http://i480.photobucket.co...

Re: Tyre sizes?

I think you can probably get away with several variations without any worries. On 13", I've used 185/60, 175/55, and now running 225/45. The overall diameters are all fairly similar, so I've had no issues with all 3. The 225 are Toyo R888, but these were bought back in 2012, so I don't know if ...

Re: fuel injection

Do you return from the fuel rail into it also then? How do you avoid it going too high pressure in the swirl pot if so. As I said on my post, I'm afraid I'm not in technical, so slightly out of my comfort zone now  . If you wanted to drop an email to Webcon, I'm sure someone in sales can sort...

Yes you pump into it, Dave.

Keep your low pressure pump, to pump from the original tank into the swirlpot, and then the high pressure pump included in the swirlpot pumps to the fuel injection set up.
